Supplies: orange crepe paper - mod podge - sponge brush - glass jar - black cardstock or construction paper

Here is a fun and quick project to do with the kiddos for Halloween. Even my 2 year old boy had a great time gluing and sticking crepe paper to his jar. My kindergarten girl did this for her show -n- teach last Friday. Cut your crepe paper into strips measuring a little bit longer than your glass jar lengthwise. Apply some mod podge glue to your jar where your strip will go. Match your crepe paper with the bottom of your jar and fold the extra little bit inside the rim of your jar. Add some glue on the inside and stick down. Pat the crepe paper lightly, it will tear easily when it gets the glue on it. If it does tear just patch it up with a small piece of crepe paper. Go all the way around the jar overlapping the crepe paper just a little bit. Add a pumpkin face to the jar and you have a fun tealight candle holder that the kids can do all by themselves. I cut a bunch of pieces on my cricut using the pumpkin carving cartridge at 2" for the kids to choose from for their face. As you can see my girls crumpled a bit of crepe paper and added a "bow" to theirs. My kids are very proud of their pumpkin creations.
