Here is a layout just in time for Easter.  I love to get pictures of my children dying eggs.  It is a favorite family activity.  They love to get colored fingers along with colored eggs.  I always take a picture of each child's dozen colored eggs.  Enjoy dying your eggs this weekend.  Natelen

Here is a card I made for my three year old boy for his birthday.  Thought I would share with all of you.  I used Echo Park paper Dots and Stripes and the sticker sheet.  I used  an EK Success border punch and my spellbinders star and label.  I embossed the blue label behind the star with a cuttlebug embossing folder.  I stitched some lines using some yellow thread.

Here is a card I created using the My Mind's Eye challenge this month.  I needed to make a card for an elderly woman who is in the hospital.  I used some Stella and Rose, Lost and Found Two Sunshine and Lost and Found Two Rosy collections from 6x6 paper pads.  I used Spellbinders dies for the lacey circle, big scallop large for vellum blossoms and doily motif for the small flower.  I used a Martha Stewart circle punch and my circle cutter.  I used an EK Success heart border punch and cut 1/2 inch strips of pink for the ribbons.  I used a couple buttons and a brad from My Minds Eye.  I embossed the checker background with the cuttlebug Retro Kitchen embossing folder and the large vellum circle with the swiss dot.  I did some splatter painting with some straw acrylic paint.  A twine bow, black thread for stitching, two heart pins (don't know where they came from) and a For You sentiment stamp finished it off.  Enjoy your day!  Natelen

This is Alexa's invitation to her birthday party.  She wanted to help make everything.  She painted white crepe paper with watercolor to make the rainbow crepe paper.  We used a spellbinders die cut to cut out the white scallop square and debossed it with the polka dot cuttlebug embossing folder. We printed all the information on the invitation before cutting and embossing.  We finished with some bakers twine and a button.  Really simple.

We had a rainbow art party for Alexa this year. It was so fun! Here is her birthday banner. I used the Fair Isle Spellbinders die, some vellum and the Mickey Mouse Font cartridge set on the charm to cut out the letters in white. I used Echo Park paper and Happy sticker. I used some little sticker jewels in different colors. I used some Crystal stickles glitter glue on the letters and the number 7. Some yellow and white bakers twine finished it off. This was a really quick banner and Alexa helped make it which was fun too. She is so into art!

For the activities at Alexa's party we had an ice cream cone pinata, played how many candies in the dish and then painted pictures.  The kids all loved painting their pictures.  We used watercolor paper and had them watercolor the background and then used some washsable kids white paint to paint the circles.  I had saved various caps from milk jugs, toothpaste, vitamins, etc. for the kids to dip in the white paint to make the circles. I had various sticky foamies for them to decorate their picture with.   We used a frame from imaginisce that we filled with froot loops.  This is Alexa's creative art work.  They had a lot of fun!

Here is Alexa's cake. It was fun to make a rainbow cake. I used the recipe found on the cheeky kitchen although I like the yellow cake recipe found in the red and white checkered Betty Crocker cookbook. I don't really like box cake. It was really fun and turned out really tall. All the flavored layers were yummy and looked really fun too. I like to make cake toppers with paper and tape toothpicks on the back to poke down into the cake. I made the number 7 square the same as I did the banner.

I made these valentines last year for a friend who was in a car accident and down at the time. I used older paper and scraps. It is all from Three Bugs in a Rug. The heart on the front (not scalloped) lifts up so you can write, put a picture, etc. inside. I thought they were fun. I made my family all a three heart banner and I will post that later today.

We made these cute blow pop flowers for valentines day last year. They are really easy and cheap. I bought a big box of them at Costco. I used the Storybook Cricut Cartridge. The white flower is (shadow shift I) cut at 3" and the red flower is the same at 2 1/2". With scissors cut in toward the center of the red flower where the scallops start and end to allow the flower to bend up a bit. We printed You make my heart "pop!" Happy Valentines Day Love, (name here), on green paper and traced and cut out an ovalish heart for the leaf of the flower. Put all three together and punch a hole in the center and insert the blow pop through the center. I cut 30" of green curly ribbon and tied underneath to keep everything together. We had lots of fun making these.
